For Challenge over at Spinner's End : 'Thank you, Snape!' [link]
A very old Minerva McGonagall presenting Severus with his 11-year-old namesake, Albus Severus Potter.
It is Harry's unequivocal sign of recognition and gratitude .
The Headmistress seems t be enjoying herself, but Snape's portrait has an enigmatic frown and is probably attempting not to let his lips curl into an incredulous smile... Or it would, if I were better at drawing expressions!
A cross between the two I guess. I wanted him to wear something more distinctive than his usual black for his portrait as headmaster, and of course he would have chosen something that clearly stated he was a SLytherin Headmaster, hence the choice of colours.
Wow--this is great! Severus might be secretly pleased, but will probably say something to the effect of "If you were truly grateful, why didn't you name him Severus Albus?"
Great Minerva, too! Very nice work.
